President Barack Obama appointed Melanne Verveer as Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues. The President’s decision to create a position of Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues is unprecedented, and reflects the elevated importance of these issues to the President and his entire Administration. In her capacity as director of the Department of State’s new office on Global Women’s Issues, Ambassador Verveer coordinates foreign policy issues and activities relating to the political, economic and social advancement of women around the world. She mobilizes concrete support for women’s rights and political and economic empowerment through initiatives and programs designed to increase women’s and girls’ access to education and health care, to combat violence against women and girls in all its forms, and to ensure that women's rights are fully integrated with human rights in the development of U.S. foreign policy.

Ambassador Verveer most recently served as Chair and Co-CEO of Vital Voices Global Partnership, an international nonprofit she co-founded. Vital Voices invests in emerging women leaders and works to expand women’s roles in generating economic opportunity, promoting political participation, and safeguarding human rights. Prior to her work with Vital Voices, Ambassador Verveer served as Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the First Lady in the Clinton Administration and was chief assistant to then-First Lady Hillary Clinton in all her wide-ranging international activities to advance women’s rights and further social development, democracy and peace-building initiatives. She also led the effort to establish the President’s Interagency Council on Women. Prior to her time in the White House, Ambassador Verveer served in a number of leadership roles in public policy organizations and as legislative staff.

Ambassador Verveer has a B.A. and M.A. from Georgetown University. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Women’s Foreign Policy Group, and numerous other organizations.

During his speech Mr. Galloway describes how the Parliamentary system in Canada is very sick and how women's shelter advocates and feminist groups have sabotaged the true meaning of equality in Canada by getting legislation passed through mischief and slight of hand.

Some of the advice Mr. Galloway gave to parenting groups in 2003 about putting pressure on their elected officials rings just as true today as it did back then. Parents must fight for justice for their children!

( Video) Kids report being brainwashed to hate fathers at another Ontario women's shelter

Canada Court Watch has received a call from children who report that they were recently taken to a women's shelter by their mother against their wishes and that while in the shelter were told repeatedly how bad fathers were, including their own.

The children reported that when they wanted to speak to their father on the phone that workers from the women's shelter made them use the phone while women shelter workers stood next to them to listen in on every word. The children reported that the could not speak to their father openly and honestly or say anything about the abuse they witnessed in the shelter or how their own mother was abusing them while in the shelter. In fact the mother had domestic violence charges against her while in the shelter. The children report that once they get out, they will tell all.

Canada Court Watch advocates for greater transparency and accountability with women's shelters. Women who are violent and abusive should not be allowed into a shelter where children are residing. The practice of teaching children to hate fathers must also be stopped. Shelters caught spreading this kind of hate to children should be immediately closed down.

Canada Court Watch has received complaints from many children and parents over the years about violence and abuse inside some of government funded women's shelters.

A Minister for Men should campaign against all forms of male discrimination.

(1) Make Improving the educational attainment of boys a political priority.

(2) Make the state recognize/support male domestic violence victims.

(3) Improve care and funding for prostate/testicular cancer sufferers.

(4) Make judges enforce child contact orders.

(5) Support equal parenting laws.

(6) Provide better help and retraining for unemployed men.

(7) Force a review of the CSA maintenance criteria where the mother has left her husband for another man, re-married or has simply walked out of a marriage with the children.

(8) Support anonymity for men accused of rape, unless found guilty.

(9) Improve care and support for men suffering from depression.

(10) Campaign against anti-male propaganda and male stereotyping in the media.

(11) Support equal sentencing criteria for men and women.

(12) Stop the political disenfranchisement of individual men by abolishing discriminatory all-woman shortlists and priority lists.
