Canada Court Watch has received a call from children who report that they were recently taken to a women's shelter by their mother against their wishes and that while in the shelter were told repeatedly how bad fathers were, including their own.
The children reported that when they wanted to speak to their father on the phone that workers from the women's shelter made them use the phone while women shelter workers stood next to them to listen in on every word. The children reported that the could not speak to their father openly and honestly or say anything about the abuse they witnessed in the shelter or how their own mother was abusing them while in the shelter. In fact the mother had domestic violence charges against her while in the shelter. The children report that once they get out, they will tell all.
Canada Court Watch advocates for greater transparency and accountability with women's shelters. Women who are violent and abusive should not be allowed into a shelter where children are residing. The practice of teaching children to hate fathers must also be stopped. Shelters caught spreading this kind of hate to children should be immediately closed down.
Canada Court Watch has received complaints from many children and parents over the years about violence and abuse inside some of government funded women's shelters.
