MUMBAI: Former supermodel Viveka Babajee's stock broker boyfriend will be questioned in connection with her suicide, police said Sunday.
"Thirty-two-year-old Vohra is a stock broker and has been mentioned on the last page of Viveka's diary note. The police will gather details about what kind of relationship they shared and what exactly happened when they last met on June 24," said senior police inspector Mangesh Pote of the Khar Police Station.
Sources close to Vohra, who is believed to be untraceable, said that he has decided to move the Bombay High Court for anticipatory bail. They also mentioned that Babajee and Vohra were "just friends".
Babajee, 37, shot to fame in the mid-1990s with the Kamasutra condom ad campaign. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her living room by her neighbours in Continental Apartments in suburban Bandra Friday night.
Her autopsy report, received by the police Saturday afternoon, has confirmed that she committed suicide by hanging herself.
Babajee's family members are expected to arrive in Mumbai soon from Mauritius to take charge of her body.
