A former Playboy Playmate of the Year has been charged with trying to kill her husband, Bruce Rathgeb. Victoria Rathgeb, 66, was arraigned for attempted murder in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday where she pled not guilty. The LAPD confirmed to In Session that Rathgeb was arrested on Oct. 16 for shooting her husband, but said they would not comment further because it is an ongoing investigation.
Her husband remains in critical condition at an LA hospital. Rathgeb is being held in lieu of a $1.5 million bond, and has a preliminary hearing on Nov. 1. She was Playboy’s 1968 Playmate of the Year, under the name Angela Dorian. She also went by the name Victoria Vetri and had a small part in the movie “Rosemary’s Baby”.
It has been reported that Bruce and Victoria Rathgeb were arguing and she shot him in the chest with a semi-auto pistol.
When police first questioned her, she told of drug dealers shooting her husband, Bruce Rathgeb. She must not have been convincing enough because police arrested her. She has pleaded not guilty.
She did not post the $1.5 million bond, so she is still in jail. Her husband remains in critical condition. If he dies, she will be charged with murder.
Victoria Rathgeb was the 1968 Playboy Playmate of the Year. She also has appeared in Rosemary’s baby, Mission Impossible, Star Trek and Batman.
Hollywood Outbreaktells us that It was earlier reported that Ms. Rathgeb told the law that a drug dealer had shot her husband of 20 years.
Sugar Slamreports “Police have only commented saying that there is an on-going investigation. Rathgeb pled not guilty on October 16th during her arraignment. Her husband is in critical condition at a local hospital.”

Zap 2 ittells us “The 66-year-old is still in custody, with bail set at $1,000,000, while her boyfriend recovers from injuries in the hospital.”
In Session blog reports a different bail amount: Rathgeb is being held in lieu of a $1.5 million bond.
It seems like Zap 2 it and TMZ missed the married part, but both are right with Mrs. Rathgeb still being in jail. Evidently she could not post the bond.
She is scheduled to be at a hearing on November 1st. If convicted of attempted murder, she could be sentenced up to a life term.
Victoria was called Angela Dorian when she was the Playgirl of the Year and has gone by the name of Victoria Vetri.
